Five days ahead of schedule, on December 27th, CHN Energy surpassed its annual power generation target, reaching 1.24 trillion kilowatt-hours. This output represents a 3.4% increase compared to the previous year and significantly supports both economic development and the power needs of residents.
Prioritizing energy security, the Group expedited the development of reliable power sources in key regions and load centers, bolstering peak regulation capacity and enhancing overall energy supply. Facing complex supply and demand dynamics and challenges posed by extreme weather events, a robust supply assurance mechanism was implemented. This ensured consistent electricity provision during critical periods and in key areas, maintaining an average monthly generation exceeding 100 billion kilowatt-hours.
During peak summer demand, customized power supply strategies were implemented for provinces experiencing tight electricity supplies, such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Sichuan. These measures resulted in record-breaking daily generation and peak load figures. Throughout the winter heating season, a comprehensive, integrated heating system—spanning sources, grids, stations and households—guaranteed the stable operation of heating units and networks in crucial regions, including Northeast China, Eastern Inner Mongolia and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
In addition to achieving its annual targets, the Group is actively driving a green energy transition, emphasizing market integration and clean, low-carbon development. The Group's participation in the national unified electricity market strengthens its market competitiveness and promotes increased marketization across its diverse power generation portfolio. Furthermore, the Group has accelerated the development of new energy and hydropower, optimizing its energy mix and increasing the share of clean and renewable energy generation by 2.5 percentage points, leading to a continued rise in green electricity output.
